Hello Everyone :)

I need to reproduce a photography from nationnal geographic by using vue 7 :

So this is the footage

And here is my early crappy result test before i checked the tutorial :(

Image

and this is actually what i have so far :

Image

I hope the modeling is now enought and so i can focus on the atmosphere and material editor

by the way i waned to know how i can do snow material with this nice blue reflection , and also if there is a fog material that i could apply to a box to hide a part of the mountain

if you have some advice about how i should do this work don't hesitate
It will be gentle of you if you could help me :)

IF you want to add some blue to your snow, change the highlight color to a light blue and then play around with the parameters for it until you arrive at something you like. Is this a still image or are you creating this for animation?

Also, will you be doing any postwork effects like in photoshop?

thanks

it will be for a still image

i will use make some post prod after in photoshop

for the moment i'm working on the atmosphere and fighting with the parametrer to find the right one but without success , so i get back to an older version which was closer than my recents result

i'm also a bit annoy by the shape of the right iceberg , but i tryed to do it into max or zbrush and its a really headache

I agree with the right iceburg. In comparing it to the photo, it has too much of a fractal look to it-------strictly 3d looking. You may want to try softening up that top part to smooth it out some

it is for a school exam , the image is for still
i tried to make the iceberg into max or zbrush but result wasn't concluante
so i made a 3d render of the closest i could get , then now i'm actually painting over it , using also the image reference on the iceberg

from left to right :

real picture
3d render
wip painting

thanks

I used the real picture a bit into my actual painting :

i use only light information on the right iceberg mountain , actually the left part of it , and also on the water , all the rest is a mix of painting and 3d render
