Help with referance images

Postby foff44 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:44 am

Guys,
I have hit a small hurdle with a reference image.
I downloaded a Front, Top, and Side view of a space ship, that I want to bring into Hexagon and have a go at modelling, the trouble is that all three views are different sizes.
I bought the Side view into Irfanview cropped the image so that all 4 sides touched the image, and then took note of the height and width dimensions,
I then bought in the front view cropped the image then took note of the dimensions but made the height the same as the height of the side view, next was the top view, cropped the image, then made the width and length dimensions the same as the corresponding side and front view images.
The hurdle is that when I bought the images into hexagon the images do not match up and I have black borders on the images.

My question is what is the best way to get all the image dimension equal so that I can use all three views in the modeling process ?
Does hexagon have the option to re size the images ?
or
what is the best way to achieve what I am after?

Thanks in advance
Just do it, it might be fun
