Inspirational criticism - Horror

Hey everybody! :D I am in need of some Inspirational criticism.

http://s656.photobucket.com/albums/uu28 ... man_10.jpg

This is victoria 3 imported to Vue and painted around 107.000 stones on her face.
My idea is that she is being targeted by a spell and turned into "nature". like many old tales where, for some reason, a woman is turned into a tree.

Right now her red eyes makes her look more evil than being the victim. I was also thinking of growing some vines around her head and maybe letting some of her face still be free from stones, so that it looks like it's in the transformation process.

heres is an earlier render: http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu28 ... 1270125455

But I would be glad to get some ideas and thoughts on what you would do with this scene
